The distinguished composer and keyboardist, who went on tour with Bette Midler at the tender age of 19, has since collaborated with stars such as Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston, Eric Clapton, Ray Charles, Michael Jackson, and Leonard Cohen. A Grammy® nomination for a Barbra Streisand song arrangement and an Oscar nomination for the soundtrack to THE COLOR PURPLE (1985) are testament to the range and skill of this well-connected musician. He has contributed to more than 1,000 films as a studio keyboardist, while in excess of 50 films bear his impressive musical handwriting as an arranger. Among them are masterpieces and blockbusters like FORREST GUMP, TITANIC, THE DARK KNIGHT, A BEAUTIFUL MIND, HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE, STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS, LA LA LAND, and THE IRISHMAN.
